We had our largest contingent (27) of athletes in the last 20 years attend the Simplot Games this past weekend at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.
The Girls 4X800m Relay (Nikki Smith, Sara Musselman, Sophie Baird, and Maddie Bench) set a new school record of 9:33.63, but were then disqualified for a substitution technicality.
McKay Johns placed 4th overall in the Boys 1600m Run with a time of 4:18.76, which is 5th all-time at AFHS.
Casey Clinger and Zac Jacklin made the podium in the Boys 3200m Run earning 4th place in 9:25.67 (8th all-time at AFHS) and 6th place in 9:32.93, respectively.
Sammy Hollingsworth and Lexi Wright earned finals medals in the Girls 1600m Run with a 9th place in 5:12.07 (5th all-time at AFHS) and 19th place in 5:17.18, respectively.

NCAA Eligibility Information
The NCAA’s outreach and education efforts related to initial-eligibility continue to remain in full swing. These efforts focus on both Division I standards for college-bound student-athletes enrolling on or after August 1, 2016 and Division II college-bound student-athletes enrolling on or after August 1, 2018.
