We are going to be offering a physicals night here at the high school next Tuesday night, May 1, 2018. Since we haven't done this for a while we're trying some things to see how well it works. The goal is to get physicals out of the way for these athletes for next school year, and have physicals done for those of you who do summer camps etc. The cost will be $30. To try it this first time, we'd like to start with scheduling only certain teams so that we don't get overwhelmed and we're going to focus on the fall sports but also open it up to the winter sports as well. Our plan is to have another physical night in late Sept./early October for the Winter/Spring sports. Again, we are scheduling a specific time for your team so people aren't waiting. Due to a few teams having the athletics period, yet the fact that they aren't in season, we would like to give them the opportunity to have their physicals during that period. Don't worry, we will provide an opportunity for ALL winter and spring sports again. (For at least half of you, I'm including you on this email so you can get a jump start if you'd like and so you know what our plan is.)
Tuesday's schedule will be as follows:
2:00 Wrestling, Boys Basketball & Track & Field
2:30 FB Seniors
3:00 FB Juniors
3:30 FB Sophomores
4:00 Cross Country-boys and girls
4:00 All other interested sports. **All others would need to come AT 4:00 if not earlier so we know how many we are doing. Dr. Slater is volunteering his time and has a family wedding dinner, that we won't make him late for, that night.
If you'd like to take advantage of this physical night, could you please get a head count from your teams of how many may attend so we can look at numbers. If we see the numbers won't work in the time slot allotted, we will make further arrangements.
When the athletes show up for their physical they need:
1. A FULLY completed physical form. This means that they have already filled out the entire front side (Demographics and medical history) and they have had a parent/guardian sign it giving consent. They must also EXPLAIN any questions they answered yes to. Failure to do so will slow everything down.
2. $30 in cash or preferably a check made out to American Fork High School.
E-mail Becky Bailey if your athlete will be coming: beckybailey @alpinedistrict.org
