Jordan at AF Dual Meet

Yesterday, we had nice Spring weather as we hosted the Jordan Beetdiggers.
The Lady Cavemen won 92 to 36.
The boys won 90 to 42.

UVU INVITATIONAL RESULTS

MEET RESULTS
The Cavemen participated at the inaugural UVU Invitaional in Orem today.
We had 7 individuals and a relay team qualify for the State Championships .

Clayton Young was champion, setting a new school record of 4:18.19, in the 1600m Run.
Danny Keller was champion, with the 5th fastest 800m Run in school history in 1:57.17.
Austin West was champion in the 3200m Run with a time of 9:23.74.

The Medley Relay team of Dredan Snowden, Spencer Vernon, Danny Keller, and Clayton Young were champions in 3:36.03, 4th best in school history.
Taylir Garrison placed 2nd in the High Jump at 5'3".
Cole Odle ran the 7th fastest 400m Dash in school history, placing 3rd in 50.11 .

Morgan Warner placed 6th in the 400m Dash in a seasonal P.R. of 59.26.
Mack Morrison placed 6th in the 3200m Run with a seasonal best of 9:43.59.

In Team Scores, The boys placed 3rd with 56 points - only 6 points behind champion Riverton and 1.5 points behind 2nd place Davis. There were around 50 schools at the meet.
The girls placed 18th with 13 points

AF vs. Brighton and Lone Peak

Yesterday, the Cavemen went to Lone Peak High School for a region tri-meet with the Knights and the Brighton Bengals.
The girls won with 81 points to Lone Peak's 55 and Brighton's 30.
The boys won with 81 points to Lone Peak's 49 and Brighton's 42.

AF vs. PG Dual Meet

RED AND WHITE INTERSQUAD SCRIMMAGE

This past Wednesday, we opened our season with our Red and White Intersquad Meet.
The rain held off, and although it was cool and windy, the meet went well.

Practice Starts

The Caveman Track Team begins official outdoor practice tomorrow, Tuesday, March 1st at 2:30 PM at the AFHS track. Athletes need to bring their complete paperwork and have their fees paid in order to practice.

Simplot Games Results

Last weekend in Pocatello, the Caveman Track Club participated in the 33rd Simplot Games held at Idaho State University.

The marquee event was the 3200m run, where Austin West won in 9:16.17 and Clayton Young was 3rd in 9:27.37.

Daniel Keller qualified for the finals in the both the 800m run (10th in 2:02.20, 1:58.36 in prelims) and 12th in the high jump (12th at 5'11")

Taylir Garrison qualified for finals in the High Jump and placed 10th with a jump of 5'2".

Other participants for the Cavemen were Mack Morrison, 17th in the 3200m prelims at 10:03.20, and in the 1600m run prelims: Tyson Green (62nd in 4:49.43), Dallas Griswold (67th in 4:51.52), and Jacob Healey (99th in 4:59.41).
