American Fork held their first Region tr-meet today against Corner Canyon and Westlake.
Thanks to all the parents and coaches that helped at the meet. All sprint times were into a headwind.
Tomorrow will be the first Region IV tri-meet of thye season at American Fork High School.
Daniel Simmons competed Saturday in Boston at the New Balance Indoor Nationals.
He placed second in the 5000m Run with a time of 13:59.96, which is the 3rd fastest high school time indoors in US history. Results Race Video
The Girls distance squad went down this weekend to St. George for the Snow Canyon invitational.

This week's invite is the REP Distance Challenge this Friday, held at the Kearns Olympic Ice Oval.
Athletes will need to find their own transportation, or carpool to the meet.

$8 per athlete—covers all events registration. Seeding will take place prior on Runnercard.com. No registration the day of the meet. Registration must be done by Wednesday Night Feb. 8. All races will be seeded based on entered seed times. Runners with no seed times will be placed in the final heats of each race.

Information:
1. This meet is put on in partnership with the Run Elite Program and strives to develop Utah’s distance running talent.
2. We will run the fast heat first in each event. Races will not begin before the scheduled time but may start late based on the number of participants.
3. 3/16-inch pyramid spikes. The same spikes required one week earlier at the UHSTCA Meet. Spikes may only be worn on the track surface. Remove your spikes when leaving the track.
4. Athletes need to be at the bullpen for check-in 15 minutes prior to their event. Heat sheets will be posted on Runnercard.com Thursday evening Feb. 9.
5. Runners from states other than Utah and middle school athletes are invited to participate.
6. The top 6-8 heats of the 400m Dash will be run in lanes with 4 runners per heat. The remaining heats will be waterfall starts with 6-8 runners per heat.
7. The Olympic Oval prohibits any outside food.
