Utah State Track and Field Championships

The Cavemen had three individual State Champions crowned Saturday at the State meet held at BYU.
Ariel Jolley won the girls pole vault competition with a school record jump of 10'8". She just missed setting a new State record of 10'10.5". On the Boys side, Jonah Trinnaman won the 100m dash in a time of 10.73 seconds, while Connor McMillan won the 3200m run in 9:10.47. Tyler Bell was also named Academic All-State.

The boys team ended up in 5th place, while the girls tied for 21st place.

This Wednesday

The track meet this Wednesday will be at Riverton HS at 4:00 PM, not at AFHS. Athletes must ride up on the bus at 3:00 PM, but can go home with parents after their cooldown and if they tell a coach.

Tiger Trials Invitational

Yesterday, the Cavemen participated in the Tiger Trials Invitational at Orem High School. The boys finished second  out of 23 scoring teams with 68.5 points, while the girls placed 11th out of 21 scoring teams with 20 points. We were missing quite a few athletes because of Prom.
